Well , what I always do is.... If at all possible let it seep out slowly, and when the smell comes out to greet , look dumb founded and say" OH my God , ewww who did that" ? Works for me. Or torture yourself by sucking it back in and when the service is over , you can go outside and blow a wad.

Just pray you are not the groom. Get up and leave, do you business, and return to ceremony. As for the part about no way out... There is always a way out of a church.

Let it rip....lol...I figure when I was younger and had to go to Church, there was this really old lady who sat on a cushion and unfortunately I always had to end up sitting near her and all throughout the mass, she would be blowing it up so if she can get away with doing it and not really seem to care, I figure everyone else should be entitled to that same liberty..lol....

try to let it out slowly so that there is not as much pressure behind it so there is less chance of noise.
as far as odor goes as soon as you smell it wrinkle up your nose and give someone near you a dirty look and roll your eyes.
