Alcoholism is the "alcohol specific" version of drug addiction. An alcoholic would be somebody who is emotionally, psychologically, or physically addicted to alcohol. You dont have to drink a lot to be an alcoholic, and you dont have to be an alcoholic to be indulging in dangerous habbits with alcohol. An adult of legal age should make sure that the amounts consumed, and the frequency of drinking are both within the bounds of moderation, and they should be fine. As an 18 year old, no amount of alcohol is apropriate.
