Does any one have any idea what they mean?? My dogs are twins and one has them and one doesn't.

At least you didn't ask if there was chow inthem.

It can sometimes happen from lack of oxygen at birth. Maybe mom had a harder time getting the sack off. Sometimes poor breeding. Which is highly possible as overbred as GSDs are.

Nothing to worry about love them.

I've bred GSD for 30 years and yes some times there are black spots on there toungs. It only means that there is black pigment there it means nothing. AND DOGS ARE NOT TWINS they just look alike

Melatonin. This is perfectly normal & is just skin pigmentation. Many GS have them as do other breeds of dog.

its just pigmentation, maybe breeds are prone to it. i had a belgium shepherd and she slowly grew on when she was about 6 or so. just think of it as a freckle

It's just pigment, it means nothing. It's quite common.
