You might have a case of pinworms. Usual symptoms include rectal itching. Itching is usually worse at night and may interrupt your sleep. Diagnosis is made by discovering live worms (small 1/2" size) white threadlike worms in your stools. Check your stools for this. If you do have it your doctor can prescribe some medication.

Try using benadryl gel or lotion on the area after its clean and dry. This is only to alleviate the itching before you see the doctor to make sure there isn't an underlying problem. See your doctor.

You may have a yeast infection there. Try using an athletes foot cream or vaginal yeast cream on the area and see if that helps. If that doesn't help then see the doc. Also be sure to wear 100% cotton underwear.

After you wipe, wash the area with warm soapy water, put some preparation H cooling gel, that helps with itching, If the itching continues please go to your doctor for help.
