It all started Christmas night when my buddy Andrew and i went out for chinese, it was pretty late but the place was open so whatever right? Well we took our food to go and when i opened upm y car door a cat came flying at me! She ran strait into the car, and the just sat there like she owned the place. I wasn't entirely sure what to do so I grabbed a sweatshirt adn wrapped her in it incase she had well diseases or something, and asked the nieghbors, who either threw things at me or simply said no its not my cat.

Long story short I supose, I ended up bringing her to another friend's house, Ronnie, and he held her up for the night till Andrew and I could find a shelter.

Yesterday moring Andrew and I drove 1 hour and 45 mins, into Strathum, just to find out they closed early, all the other shelters in a 3 hour driving period were closed! AND we were having car troubles!

Now I've been with this adorable cat so long I'm getting attached and so is Andrew. I can't bring her home,

Although Ronnie said he'd keep it as long as I needed him to, I wanted to keep her period. So 8 PM rolls around and we've been at this since 10 AM, and we pull into a vets and they tell us we're right down the street from one!!! She gave the people there a call but no answer...and just as I was walking out the door they called back. The lady at the shelter was right on her way out the door adn said she'd wait for us!!!

I was so excited!! I ran out to the car, and in about 15 minutes we got there. They were perfect, they don't kill, and they'll notify me when she gets a good home..

I miss Christmas so much...thats what we named her.

So..did I go too far for this feliene just to say goodbye?

You saved a life. God bless you. You will be greatly rewarded for your act of kindness. Christmas will find a good home and when you are able I'm sure you will find another shelter and will adopt a couple of deserving pets yourself. You did the right thing. It warms my heart to hear what a wonderful thing you and your friend did.

we do not understand if the kitten will be ok - we've not seen his injuries!! Take the cat to a vet. that's maximum in all probability he has chew wounds, which will rapidly change into contaminated and abscessed, rats not being the cleanest creatures. only a be conscious - an animal in soreness is continually an animal that desires a vet! No exception! Chalice EDIT: that's not a personal selection actual - it is your duty to get help for an injured/sick puppy. 'some animals won't be able to be kept' - what a garbage element to say, a cat with chew wounds almost actual may be kept, if taken to a vet!

What is the reason you can't bring it home? It is sad to get attached and then have to take it to a shelter. But, if that is what you must do, then there really isn't a better way around it.
Odd situation you have there though, sounds like the cat decided she wanted you to keep her - who knows maybe fate? hehe

Good luck!

If you really want this cat, ask yourself something. Would you be prepared to look after it? Clean it? Feed it? And devote a lot of your time to it? Because looking after a kitten is a massive responsibility and it takes up a lot of your time. You have to train it and what not.
But if you cant do this, then your going to have to part ways with it. I know it would be hard and heartbreaking, but if you dont have the means to look after it, then it would be better going to a shelter.

Good luck with your adorable cat!
