I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Pure sugesstion is excercise yup that is the way. Forget diet pills those may have side effects. Since i sugessted excercise, it also depends how old you are if you are still gowing i mean you are getting tall, under the age of 20 you could do some excercise runing every morning and evening. Or you could go for swiming or you could start skipping. Dont do any lifting excercise, make sure you are sweating that means that fat is burning. And try to eat less like normal people remember, try to avoid oily foods n food with high calories (eat less live long not my words, discovery channel).

Absolutely no diet pills they do not work at all. If you are really serious about losing the weight you need to change how you eat. Cutting out things like pop, sugar, and fried foods can make a really big difference.

You should start choosing to eat the foods below to lose weight:

-Lean meats: Flank steak, skinless bone-less chicken breast, fish, boneless pork chops

-Vegtables

-Fruits

-Whole grain breads, grains & pastas

You should grill, bake, or broil any of your lean meats. Do not use heavy fattening sauces on any of you foods. There are ways to season meats to taste good with herbs, oils, etc. Two great cook books are the Sonoma Diet and the South Beach diet. Both of these plans teach you how to eat healthy for life...not just a diet....people who are at an ideal weight eat like they teach you in those two books.

You have to change your diet and start getting active. Start with just 10 minutes of activity a day and work it up. You will feel so much better.

Diet pills alone won't work. If you read the small print it says use with diet and exercise. Of course if you diet and exercise you will lose weight. I just lost 100 pounds by watching what I ate and exercise atleast 5 times a week. It took one year of hard work but was well worth it. Good Luck.

Keep a diary of everything you eat, when you eat it, who you're with, any other activities (ie watching t.v. etc...) while you're eating and how you're feeling. At the end of each day, look back and read through it. You'll begin to see patterns in your eating habits as well as see what you're eating. Once you've identified the patterns, begin to make some adjustments.

One thing to be aware of is how you feel when you eat. Do you tend to eat when you're bored, restless, anxious etc...? Try to be aware of those moods and instead of eating, make a conscious effort to find some other activity to occupy your time for example, instead of picking up the bag of chips because you're bored, pick up a magazine or book. Or instead of grabbing food, grab something to drink like juice. Make an effort to eat only when you feel hungry.

In addition, begin an exercise regime that works for you. Yoou don't have to start training for a marathon or anything like that. Do some subtle changes at first and then build up. For example, for those quick drives to the store, don't drive, walk there. Or if you work in an office building, take the stairs instead fo the elevator. Make sure the exercise regime fits into your current schedule, do not try to rework your life around an exercise program.

Also, don't be ashamed that you're trying to lose weight. Tell everyone you know what you're doing. By letting others know, you've put some added peer pressure on yourself to actually work at losing the weight. You'll also find a source of support and encouragement as well.

I wouldn't suggest taking any diet pills or other extreme measures to lose weight. Try the eating and lifestyle changes first. You'll begin to see and feel the changes. Just don't expect it to happen overnight. It'll take time, dedication and hard work, but it'll be worth it in the end.

Try to eat a lot of fruits!! I was 295lbs a few years ago and now I'm 130lbs, try to stay away from all of those pills ( they don't work) eat healthy,a lot of fruits, vegetables, steam your meats or cook them in the microwave, stay away from all fried foods, fast food rest. are awful for your diet. They should be your enemy right now It's all up to you!! grapefruits at least 2 a day are great! and lemon juice (fresh lemon) early in the morning before you have breakfast is also good. diets take a lot of effort and you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot. afternoon walks and try to stay active, move a lot your body needs the exercise because after you loose the weight your body needs to shape up otherwise your skin is not going to look too good since you want to loose a lot of weight.I think this is the healthier and safest way to loose weight.Good Luck &GOD Bless!! whatever you do be SAFE!!!

I think that people who are overweight by this large of an amount have an addiction to food. I don't think that this has anything to do with the fact that you are hungry - you can't possibly be if you are eating enough to maintain an extra hundred pounds. You should try to get to the root of the problem - why are you eating like this? Stress, depression.. etc.. Food should be to keep you healthy, not as a crutch. I suspect binge eating, every time you feel this urge try and distract yourself from something. I almost guarantee that within fifteen minutes the feeling will have passed and you will not binge eat.
