There's a ton of companies out there, just check with the better business bureau to b sure they are legit. U only need their help if u hv trouble with ur credit report ie> someone else has opened acct's in ur name n charged up cards or taken out loans, etc.. If ur report is accurate then these companies can't improve ur rating. If u do hv acct's on ur report that r not ur's, u can take care of it urself. My husband is a victim of credit fraud n I hv cleared his report of dozens of fraudulent charges.

Good luck!

Credit repair. So many people pay so much for the promise of good credit. There are some great companies but if you have time you can do the exact same thing they do but for free. Any credit repair company's use the same process you do and have the same access you do. There are a lot of little tricks that a lot of company's use to temporary gain you good credit so be wear if they take something off your credit report that is legitimate it can pop back up and stay on there for additional time.
go to ripoff report. and type in the name of the company you are thinking of using. Rip off report is a bad business Bureau of sorts and is very interesting. Anytime someone had a bad experience with a company they can send in their personal experience for the world to see.

You can repair your credit. I have personal experience with this stuff.

It is actually easier for you to repair your own credit report. You can use strategies that a credit repair firm would never use.

Validation of the negative items on your file is the biggest single strategy, which works for almost everyone. There are some guerilla type strategies available for use, such as identity theft affidavits and small claims court.

The time line for you to repair your credit will depend on how bad it is. Most people can get it done in less than 90 days.

No company can make your credit any better. Only you can do that by following good financial practices for the next several years.

There is no company out there that can do anything to make your current credit look any better. A company might be able to help you settle with your creditors and that might keep negative notes from being placed on your credit report, but no one can change your current credit report (as long as it is accurate).

nothing legit.

You need to order a copy of your credit report. Then use that to go through each item that has an outstanding balance and begin to pay them off.

Only a long track record of paying off your debt and not maxing out your credit cards will earn you a better credit rating.

It's not easy but in the long run you will be better off.
