Already was one. Did not see anything to celebrate about.

Having read some of the answers above I actually hope that some of those people will hold onto their religion, because they could obviously not control themselves and be moral without a baby-sitter in the sky watching their every move while waving his BBQ set at them.
I've been an atheist all my life and I celebrate that every day by keeping an open mind, seeking knowledge and doing what I can to help others in this life since I don't believe there is a god who will help them or that anything better is waiting for them after this life.

I don't think it is something to celebrate. I am one so let me explain!
Atheists aren't told they're on a holy path that will lead to rewards in paradise for ever after, anymore than you celebrate the fact that you don't believe in fairies.
You can take comfort in the fact that you've had the intelligence and courage to accept truth and not a belief designed to comfort the ignorant.
If you MUST celebrate... oh hell, I don't know, treat yourself to a lunch at Kentucky Fried Chicken?

Celebrate what. Joining a club where the majority of the population thinks you are a fool.

High five!
I celebrated like everybody else. I visited family, ate a lot, exchanged gifts, gave to the poor.

Lol What.... you want me to give up my earned knowledge through my learning experiences, and proof that was allowed me, cause of my prevailing spiritual faith. To go backwards, no thank you. I am celebrating now with Jesus-my God.

I am saved and would never become a non believer. I am glad God called me into his family on March 4, 1999.

Hi-5.
It's not really grounds for celebration as such. I guess it must be a welcome relief for some from the shackles of religious dogma. I didn't really go through that.

I'd more than likely break out into song.
...and it would more than likely be R.E.M's "Losing My Religion".
