Hi, I have asthma and allergies and my mom told me she recalled hearing about some kind of impervious covers to protect your mattress and pillows from getting dust, dust mites, allergens, and even bed bugs I think (not that I think I'm in danger of that) and I was wondering, does anyone know where I can find these covers? I haven't had any luck doing my own searches online so I don't know, but maybe someone here already has them or at least knows what I'm talking about. I'm getting a new bed with a new mattress set and new pillows, so I'm going to need them in the next week or two. If you know where I can find these covers, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks. Happy Holidays!

Check out www.allergyreliefstore.com. They have a wide selection of bedding and other products for the kinds of problems you describe. In case you are wondering, I have no connection with them other than being a customer myself.

I have severe allergies (what have been described as the "worst case they've ever seen" by quite a few doctors), and I've always used Mission Allergy's products with no problem. All of my allergists have said that they are the best brand too.

You order them, they're shipped to you, and you'll receive them within a few days.

I find these to be the best because they've somehow made a product that is still soft and feels like real bedding, yet keeps everything free of dust mites, pollen, and other allergens. They don't make any weird "crinkling" sounds either like a lot of other products do.

Good luck and I HIGHLY suggest Mission Allergy!

Walmart seems to have everything...try there! Also, until you find this bedding, buy some pure essential oils of tea tree and eucalyptus. mix a few drops of each in 8 oz filtered water - put in spray bottle and spray the mattresses, open the windows and air out your room for a few hours. You may also want to put a few drops of the mixture in your laundry wash and also the dryer!

I bought some at Bed Bath & Beyond - they are plastic & zip closed over the mattress. VERY helpful. Buy some for the pillows too and you'll be good to go.

I got hypo-allergenic covers for my bedding at Target.

Here is some listed on their site, but I know they have more in the store:

Go to Walmart I have the same problems and the brand they carry is inexpensive compared to other brands and work really well.
