Chicken Parisienne (from my Rival cook book that came with my crock pot years ago)

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
salt and pepper
1 small can mushrooms, drained
1/4 c. white wine
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Salt and pepper chicken and place in crock pot. Sprinkle mushrooms on top. Mix soup and wine and pour over chicken. Cook on low for 6 - 8 hours (or high 3 - 4 hours).

Remove chicken to a bowl and keep warm. Mix 1 c. sour cream with 1/4 c. flour and stir into sauce in pot. Return chicken to sauce and continue to cook another 30 minutes.

YUM!

Shredded beef sandwiches
Slice an onion and put in the bottom of your crock pot.
Then, lay a tri-tip roast on top. Pour one can of swanson beef broth over it and cook on low for about 8 hours.
When done take out the roast and it will almost shred by itself. Put the shredded meat back in the crock pot to keep it warm.
When ready to serve just pile the shredded meat into a roll or bun and put some of the broth over the top.

i've seen crock pot recipes where you can bake a cake or bake bread in there. a recipe book came with my crock pot. i don't have any special recipes -- except for a chicken recipe that I have not yet tried. smash up some foil balls and put a few of those in the bottom of the crock pot. then put your cut up chicken on top of those, season and cook your preferred method. it's suppose to be really tastey and the juices fall down and don't boil the chicken.

also -- i've used loads of crock pot recipes off the internet. just search --- "crock pot recipes"

Our favorites are soups and corned beef brisket. Favorite soups are split pea with ham hocks, and 15 bean with ham. The brisket is simple. Buy a corned beef brisket, plop it in the crockpot with the spices from the packet, pour a beer and about 6 cups of water over it. Add lots of garlic, a couple quartered onions and potato wedges, and maybe a couple pieces of celery. Cook for hours and it comes out so juicy and tender.

this is my fav. recipe and it always turns out really nice. Plus its incredibly cheap and will feed an army:)

1 bag of chicken drumsticks or thighs
4 medium potatoes
1 onion
5 carrots
your fave chicken seasoning---mines McCormick's roasted chicken seasoning.
1 can of chicken stock (this helps to keep things moist)

put it all together in the morning before you leave for work (on low) and it will be done when you get home. 6-8 hours.

You could always try uncooked apple pie. Uncooked baked potato and Ive even heard of uncooked not-roast beef.

Not tried any myself though.
