I am concerned for my health, as my left hand has gone partially numb, and two of my fingers on the same hand are also going numb.

Do I need to get this checked over by a Doctor, or am I worrying about nothing?

Serious answers only, please. I am genuinely worried sick.

has this been happening slowly or just come on all of a sudden? If sudden, then ring NHS direct and get advice and make an appt to see the doctor. If slowly over a period time, sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome so see the doctor. It's not urgent but needs to be examined and if left unchecked can be quite bad over a period of time.
Good luck

I would get this checked out. I have had similar symptoms over the years, and for me it turned out to be a partially trapped nerve.

It is not necessarily anything serious, especially if you have no other symptoms. But do see a Doc, for peace of mind.

Do go and see a doctor as soon as possible - it sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome and/or a trapped ulna nerve but to set your mind at rest, go now! Otherwise you will just keep on worrying and get really stressed out.

Sounds like you may have a pinched nerve. Do you have any pain in your neck, or any sharp shooting pains going down your arms? Nerve damage or compression can cause the numbness. It can also cause many other strange sensations. Don't panic, but do see your doctor to report your symptoms.. Good luck to you.

The best thing you can do is get checked out by the doctor, to put your mind at rest.

Good luck.

What kind of work do you do? This may be a repetitive nerve injury due to performing a repeated task causing a carpal tunnel syndrome.
