This is a news story I pulled off the internet. In an ideal world, what would be the appropriate punishment for this man?---->

Manchester police said they nabbed a man who was caught driving while intoxicated for the fourth time.

Police said they tried pulling over Patrick -------, 35, on Bridge Street on Monday night but he refused to stop. Officials said that when police finally did stop Allain, they found him drinking a 40-ounce bottle of beer, which he continued to drink as officers confronted him.

As officers arrested him, two other drivers told police that Allain had hit them and not stopped, police said.

Police said that when he was booked, Allain told officers, "You can charge me with whatever you want. It's not going to stop me from drinking and driving."

Take away this fool's license forever or at least till he quits drinking, goes through a court ordered alcohol program, and is sober for at least 5 years. Jail him so he can't drink and drive. Let him see all the movies they have on really awfull drunk driving accidents( the gorier the better)till he pukes and begs for it to be turned off.Above all get this Jerk Off the Road Before he kills someone.

Yeah, I just read that in the Union Leader. They have inmates who are serving time for less than that. The story continues even further and they did take his license away. They are also going to have a court date to continue this situation.

Personally I feel since he is a danger to society, he should be going into Rehabilitation, forced to go to AA and to spend a few months in jail. Every time he does it, send him to jail again. He should be taking the bus...they have public transportation in Manchester, but not in most other towns and cities in New Hampshire.

In an ideal world he would in the least be charged for Attempted Murder as well as hit and run and drinking and driving. Taking his license proably wouldn't stop him from driving but yeah it needs to be.

He should lose drivers license for life...not be allowed to own, borrow or rent a car....not be allowed to consume alcohol, and should have to tour a hospital unit where victims of drunk driving accidents are being cared for and be imprisoned if caught violating any of the above

i could communicate on your toddler to be certain the best situations. with reference to the alcohol, they'd have been positioned on the spot and forced by using buddies to enable them to drink it or drink it themselves. if that's the case then you definitely've some self-worth themes to paintings on one by one. As for punishment. i could easily discover your youngster's foreign places money and take that faraway from them. be certain what's maximum obligatory and that's what gets bumped off. in spite of if this is an upcoming dance or kinfolk holiday. they could would desire to stay abode. in case you have different infants this could easily set an occasion to them and you will much less likey have problems with them interior the destiny. the place the different childrens are in contact that drank you alcohol, i could evaluate talking to their mom and dad and in case you at the instant are not gentle with that then purely do away with the alcohol from the abode once you're away. then you definitely can't be held in charge. in the event that they create it into the abode once you at the instant are not there, then you definitely can't be held responsible for contributing to them. Then in spite of if this is a case the place your toddler replaced into forced, i think of they could nonetheless be punished, yet through fact they could not get up for themselves, poses as yet another situation for them. and that's the place you step in reassuring them that sticking to their ideals and fogeys rules won't purely earn them self understand however the honour of their actual buddies.

Ideally, this man would have his license revoked, his name barred from car dealerships as a "no-sale" and from car insurance companies, and probably locked away for a good 5-10 years. Maybe once he's somebody's girlfriend in prison for awhile, that'll set him straight. ;P

He should be put in jail, he can be held before this trial as he is a danger to himself and his community. There goes his right to drink or drive.

I think he should be jailed for at least one year. I think his drivers' license should be suspended FOREVER. I think he should have to display special auto tags that say "DRUNK DRIVER" and his car outfitted with an ignition interlock device.
