Well by the look of her, shes a small terrier cross. Her paws are small so she wont grow big. She looks a bit like a dog I had which was a Jack Russel/ Staffordshire bull terrier cross. She has a squareness to her face and chest that reminds me of a Staffy, but the smallness and lean figure of a jack Russel.
You should check her teeth, if they are a different shape to normal dogs teeth, that is also a sign of a Staffy.
Get plenty of chew toys in, any terrier likes to chew, so beware of your slippers and shoes. Never give her an old shoe to play with as she will think all shoes are to play with.
If Im right about the cross, then she will be quite energetic for at least 5 years. Good luck, she a real cutie!!

I would say she is a mix of all sorts. Top quality mutt! Are you sure that she's only 5 weeks old? She looks a lot older than that! If she is 5 weeks, then she is WAY too young to be separated from her mother and you need to be prepared to deal with any medical or behavioral issues that will crop up because of this.
If she is 4 pounds at 5 weeks, she will most likely grow to be a medium/large size dog. She looks like she may be a type of pit/hound mix.
Good luck and best wishes for a happy puppy!

Looks to be a a pit bull or pitt bull mix. Our two looked the same way when we adopted them, but with black fur.
That said, 5 weeks is too young to adopt a puppy - the ideal age is 8 weeks. Please make sure your veterinarian gives her a clean bill of health and speak to him/her about the challenges arising from adopting a pup this young. In addition, if you do have a pit mix on your hands, they are very intelligent dogs, but stubborn. A couple rounds of puppy preschool, followed by a couple rounds of dog obedience (with consistent use thereof), will give you a companion whose company you will enjoy for years to come.

Definately NOT pitbull to whomever said it was a pit mix. That dog is not built, shaped, or has the right texture hair for a pit, also pits ears dont stand straight up.
When I first looked at your dog, I thought "fox".
But since this is highly unlikely. I'm gonna have to say a mutt.

She is just a mixed breed, and you will never know for sure what breeds she is mixed with. It will probably be easier to tell when she gets older, but to me, from that picture, she looked like MAYBE a boxer/lab mix. She sure is Adorable though!

Whoa! way too young to be adopted out. Heinz 57 like someone else said. Too cute for words. Looks a little like in the Terrier grouping... wait a while and when she goes in for her first shots, the vet can give you a better idea.

The ears make me think of a terrier, possibly mixed with a pit bull? I'm not sure really, but she is adorable!
Was the 5 weeks a typo?

Why do you have a 5 week old puppy? That's way too young.
She looks like a mutt, possibly some min pin or german pinscher, maybe some pit, but she'd have to get a lot bigger for that, maybe even some chihuahua? Definitely not a purebred though, sorry.

It looks similar to mine in the fact that it is a truly beautiful puppy which will grow into a rather large adorable dog...I dont know the name of the breed or breeds but I melted when I saw that photo...
Enjoy you life with your pup, her eyes tell me she will be very loyal to you...(mine is a X between a Chihauhau and Tenterfield terrier, but your pups legs and paws suggest she will grow much larger)...

Possibly a pit mix. It looks like she will be a nice medium size, and she's looking right at the camera which tells me she's bright and attentive. Just be good to her, and you'll have the bestest of friends. By the way, have you decided on a name yet?
