No, but G-d does not yearn to be worshiped. How could an infinite being have needs?

God wants us to love Him but he doesn't make us. He doesn't yearn for our love either. And it is totally up to you weither u want to worship Him but without Him u would not be in extience.

God alone is worthy of worship. He desires a relationship with us, not just mouth service. He loves us, but allows us free will to chose to love Him or not. Would you have someone love you because they had to or because they love you without reservation because they want to? As with everything God does for us, worship of Him is for our sake - He desires the best for us, and worship of Him is the best.

did you wake up this morning?
Did you hear your first breath this morning?
If yes. then of course he is worthy of all of our worship. If God wasn't worth it and he didn't love you, you would have died and woke up in a devils hell, if you are not his child. You could have died in your sleep and went to eternity, are you ready for that?
Have you lied? Have you stolen? have you committed lust? If so then you have sin in your life and you've broken 3 of Gods commandments. You've shown yourself to be a lying, theiving, adulterer at heart. And if God were to judge you by these commandments you'd be guilty for breaking his law. And being guilty of breaking God's laws you would end up in Hell because of your sins. Does this concern you?
So, give God the praise that you were givine another chance to come to him with Godly sorrow and a humbled heart and repent of your sins and trust in Jesus. Because your not promised tomorrow, or even the next few seconds.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Good point. Worship me or burn in hell seems more like extortion than any kind of love. Why would a 'true' god resort to such tactics? Maybe because he is merely a creation of the imaginatin of man.

I would say not.
Certainly not, if that god set things up so that there would be a choice in the matter.
"I'll make these pets, and I want them to worship me, but I'll give them the choice not to, and if they don't, I'll torture them".
Kind of like some people I've met - "I want her to love me, but I want her to love me because she wants to love me...and if she doesn't, I'll make her life miserable".
*rolls eyes*
BTW, the God and Goddess don't CARE if I "worship" them or not - if I choose to do so, it's for my sake, for what it does for me.

sounds a little megalomaniacal and childish to be praised and worshipped all the time
