1) Uninstalled my Ideal Browser Firefox. When I thought it was useless, I uninstalled it. Maybe this have a connection?

2) Crap. The connection sucks today and it became super slow. Zzz... I cannot open many sites. Zzz...

3) Whoa. You have got to believe this. Here, in my country, it rained continuously for 2 days. Not quite a big deal right?

I have been thinking. Maybe it was the raining that caused the slow loading. And the Ideal Browser Firefox thingy just intertwined with Mozilla Firefox. Lol, I need to be precise here. and yes, there is such thing called Ideal Browser Firefox. Go Google it up.

Well, I do hope someone looking at my question could help me. BUT, NO SPAM PLEASE!!!

Another thing. The add tabs button beside the tabs is also gone. I checked the version. Its 2.0.0.1. All my toolbars of the addons I got all appeared on the fist time I opened the corrupted Firefox (I guess).

The system also rebooted after I accidentally pressed a mysterious button (I configured my mouse to point whatever a new thing came up, so I pressed on it).

(Gosh I have something more to add.)
I happened to be clearing space for my C drive, so the cache is cleared. Temp files are also all deleted.

Err... Is it me or did I not say my firefox got updated. Oh btw, lonijean, you can set it in options-->advanced tab. Uncheck Firefox.

You guys GOT to hear my story. Last time when they updated firefox to 1.5.0.0, my updating thing got corrupted. I had to uninstalled it and download a new one, so i downloaded Ideal Browser Firefox. Who knows, it sucked. So I didnt bother uninstalling it until today. I went searching for an old version of firefox to update from. I succeeded and continued until now.

Why didnt I download the version from www.mozilla.org?

I cant update it from there.

Most likely when you uninstalled Ideal Browser FF you also uninstalled the profile folder. The profile folder is where things like bookmarks and etc. are stored. If you un-installed this; I am afraid you will have to start over with your bookmarks. I think that Ideal browser firefox make changes to your profile folder to make your internet run faster by adding the tweaks for thing like pipelining, max connections, nglayout initial paint delay etc. all of the aforementioned items speed up firefox but are resident in your profile folder. Unless you backed up your profile folder somewhere you lost all of the tweaks and your bookmarks and you will just have to start the process over again.

Sometimes prolonged rain can affect your connection because the water gets in to your phone box that is on the outside of the house and any little thing with the phone lines etc. can have an adverse affect on you internet connection. Your ISP could have been the problem as well, High network traffic due to people being inside due to the rain....Nothing better to do when it is rainy outside. If you wish to keep your unique settings just navigate to c:\documents and settings\user\application data\mozilla\profile (is normally the default path to your firefox profile folder, if ideal browser doesn't change this) after you have everything the way you want it (bookmarks and such) copy and paste the entire profile folder to another location on your computer (my documents would be best) then when you next un-install you can just re-install ideal browser firefox and copy your saved profile folder back to the mozilla folder in application data and voila all of your settings will be back. Hope this answers your questions.

Hmmm, this is NOT my experience. My firefox is set to automatically update, and has done this for months now, and has NEVER deleted the bookmarks. One thing you could to to help ensure against this is to export your bookmarks to a file, and if they ever get wiped out again, re-import them. I know this doesn't help today...

Mine did that too. Firefox has a nasty little habit of updating itself. When it does that, you loos all your bookmarks. I havent quite figured out how to get it to NOT update automatically, so if you find out let me know..............
