You can start getting credit by opening an account in a bank near you. Most banks have a program where you can put say $200 in a bank account and you get a credit card that has a credit line of $200. it is called a secured credit card. you must leave the $200 in the bank. But if you pay off your balances and use the credit card carefully you will start to build good credit and work your way to an unsecured credit card.

Orchard bank is about the easiest to get. You just send them a few hundred bucks and you are instantly approved for a MasterCard. They even add good marks to your credit report if you use their card responsibly.

Go to bankrate.com , they compare many different offers to show you what everyone is offering. That way you can choose the offer that is best.
If you are too young or don't have a credit history, you may want to have a parent co-sign on the card with you.
