Kahlúa is a famous American coffee liqueur. It is heavy and sweet, with a very distinct taste of Mexican coffee, which gives it a dark brown colour.

Kahlua is the 2nd largest single liqueur brand worldwide. Although it wasn't introduced to America until 1962, it's history dates to pre-WWII.

I don't know the history, but I know it comes from Mexico. It is so good, and when you go to Mexico you can get it for 1/2 the price or more than you pay in the U.S. Russo Blancos are so good in Mexico.

A true black russian only has vodka and kahlua. No coke or lemon - ew. Add some cream to that and you've got a white russian and some good times!
