Humans are attracted by taste as well as color of the drink and that is a known fact. When we are young and go to a picninc and in the cooler were colored bottled of drinks. the Orange, Grape, RootBeer, Strawberry, Sprite,...ect colors is a known attractant that gains speed, but losing speed now on the market since plastics has not had the same impact as glass bittle did. Let;s face it, the reason why soda is losing sales is because the glass is gone.

My favorite drink is Miranda. It's an orange soda that actually tastes like oranges unlike Fanta. After that I would have to choose Pepsi, I just think it tastes better than Coke because Coke tastes uncarbonated.

I quit drinkning prepared sodas about 4 months ago. At nearly 200 calories per 20 ounce bottle, I found I was adding 400 to 1000 "empty" calories to my diet without adding any nutritional value at all.

When I have a craving for that sweet-and-carbonated sensation of a soda, I pour a glass to half-full with any "low cal" cranberry juice drink and mix it with seltzer water (club soda) A 12 ounce glass of this mixture contains about 25 calories.

Be sure the juice is one of the "Splenda" sweetened ones with 40 calories per 8 ounces on its own.
