The Ethiopians you fool! they are at the front lines fighting Islam for us. I think we should send them support in the way of Ammo and food supplies. They are doing great so far. I was surprised I thought the terrorist would do a better job then this.

Johan - first of all, unlike your country, the Kingdom of Sweeden, which is officially Lutheran, America has no state religion.
Most Americans are Christian, but there are also 6 million Jews, 6 million Muslims and about a half million Buddhists in our country, and we have no state religion
That was one of the reasons for the American revolution - we were rebelling against England's mandatory Anglicanism being imposed on us
Second, Ethiopia is trying to impose it's will on it's neighbor and longtime rival, Somalia. Somalia is almost 100% Muslim, yet Ethiopia is trying to cram a Christian government down their throats at bayonet-point.
On paper, this Ethiopian installed Christian "government" is "internationally recognized" - but, unlike the Islamic Court government, it has zero legitimacy with the Somalian people.
This so called "government" runs one town, near the Ethiopian border, and it runs that town because the community is under Ethiopian military occupation.
Imagine if Turkey was invading Sweeden, and trying to impose a Muslim government on your country, and they had gotten that bogus foreign bayonet-imposed "government" internationally recognized - how would you feel?
Ethiopia is run by Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, who are a slight majority of the population, but Ethiopia has a huge Muslim population, who have long been repressed by the dominant Amhara minority.
The Ethiopian government also represses it's largest ethnic group, the predominantly Christian Oromo.
Ethiopia should withdraw from Somalia, and let the Somalians decide their own future.
America should stay neutral in this - don't we already have enough trouble with the Muslim world?
Beyond that, just looking at this as a question of justice and international law, I'd have to support the Somalian Islamic Courts, in their effort to defend their country against Ethiopian agression.

Ethiopia is not attacking Somalia. It is attacking the forces of the Union of Islamic Courts. Ethiopia is defending her interest against the Union of Islamic Courts (UIC) who have seized power from the legitimate Transitional Government. Firstly it was the Transitonal Somali Govt. who invited them (the Ethiopians) in to help protect the govt. from illegal removal from office. Ethiopia is also defending her interests; the UIC is supporting opposition movements in Ethiopia, is reputed to have links with terrorist organizations, and is has strong support from Eritrea, (Ethiopia's neighbour and arch enemy) A truce is best since Somalians have suffered for too long and a new war in somalia could open up a proxy battle field for Eritrea, Ethiopia and terrorist organizations.

MOGADISHU, Somalia (Reuters) -- A joint force of Ethiopian and Somali government troops advanced Wednesday to just 18 miles (30 kilometers) from Islamist-held Mogadishu, but a representative said they would besiege the Somali capital rather than attack it.
"We are not going to fight for Mogadishu, to avoid civilian casualties. Our troops will surround Mogadishu until they [the Islamists] surrender," Ambassador Abdikarin Farah told reporters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

i'm no longer so specific approximately so-spoke of as "al quaeda strongholds". in actuality i'm no longer so specific approximately something this adminstration tells us. it somewhat is like Iraq. "one hundred Iraqis lifeless; 2 U.S. solldiers...112 Iraqis lifeless...a million U.S. soldier" it somewhat is all so one-sided yet they record it that way so as that we would be confident that greater Iraqis are lifeless than U.S. troops (as though that makes a difference) lower back and as for Somalia, who knows? style of no longer uncomplicated to swallow that they understand precisely what share have been killed by using fact it replaced into an 'airstrike" - I mean like who replaced into on the floor counting? much less who lived to record it? ...and as a great way by using fact the Bush speech is worried, no rely what he tells us, and no rely what the Democrats or Republicans say against it, 20,000 troops or greater are going to be deployed to Iraq till now the top of January. Watch and notice. (The Democrats are not clever sufficient to stop this "surge"). Oh and specific. those "20,000 or greater" troops wil be STAYING in Iraq, for it sluggish again. Watch and notice.
