Or you could simply decide that neither of those things is going to happen and accept that you cannot know and therefore worrying about it is pointless. Now go do something positive!
Freedom from religion is a wonderful thing. It allows you to focus on living your life according to your conscience and it makes you, not some unknowable force, responsible for your successes and your mistakes.
I never understood how people could give over all their good works to God, but have to take responsibility for their not so good deeds. I don't think anyone should be saddled with guilt when God gets all the credit for the good things.

Why is it that so many god lovers equate atheism with evil doing? Unlike the pope, I never joined the Nazi party. Unlike so many bishops and cardinals, I never hid child molesters from the police. Unlike so many televangelists I never took money from poor deluded people to feather my own nest. Unlike the god lovers in the IRA and al Qaeda, not to mention the god loving independents in Oklahoma City or the Atlanta Olympics, I never tried to kill innocent people to make a point.
If the god lovers from the various cults wish to discuss why it makes sense that an omnipotent being demands that during your three score and ten years of life you choose the right cult and worship him on a regular basis or be condemned to an infinity of torment, that's fine. Just don't think that because one doesn't believe in some alien egomaniac that person has no ethics.

Well, you will change your mind when you are in hell, but there isn't anything you can do about it then.
Hopefully you will come to your senses, humble yourself and repent for not believing in Jesus Christ and all that He Is.
Pride comes before a fall. God gives grace to the humble.
Also, God isn't expecting you to kiss His butt. But you might have to, since you are making these kind of statements. God will not be mocked. We reap what we sow.

I'd rather not kiss a God's butt who sends people to hell because he chose not to elect them for salvation. However, if Christianity's theology is correct then I have no choice in the matter because humans then have no control over where they go in the afterlife.

I don't believe in heaven or hell. But, if given the choice, I'd rather burn in hell.

God never intended for you to kiss his butt.
He intended for you and me to thank him for letting us breath. But right now, your stealing his air. You see, God created this world for his children and we messed it up. Not God. We sinned. We made the choice not to listen and not to obey. for what?
Just what your spillin. Pride, selfishness, self righteousness, self-pity...sin. Satan was kicked out of heaven for his pride. And he will be thrown into the lake of fire because of his pride. And it will take you there also.
It isn't God's will that you perish. But you choose to do so, ignorantly. The Bible tells us that we are ignorant in our relationship with God. Because of blindness. Pride blinds you to eternal punishment.
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
You will burn because of your pride, so you will get what you deserve. But I wish you would not think so.
Do you consider yourself to be a good person?

But what If God does not want his butt kissed?
What if this is all a lie about God?
What if he wants to take you to the ball game or fishing or what ever it is that you truly love with absolutely no butt kissing needed.
What if religion is just a lie about God and he is actually your dearest friend who would never judge you for anything.
Would you still want to turn your back on him.
Think about it.

Maybe this is out of your context but "The one who doesn't accept their mistakes is the one who has no pride."

I don't consider it a matter of pride. I consider it a matter of principle. And I stand by my principles.
