Be there for him no matter what or why he has run away. Talk to him and really listen to what he is saying. There are reasons kids do what they do and sometimes we are all to busy in life to listen. Just open your heart and listen. This will help more than anything.

Probably you didn't really support the foster family that was taking in YOUR SON due to YOUR OWN FAILURE.

See, that's the problem. You can't accept the blame and responsibility for causing him to be taken in the first place. I'm sure you had visits with him, right? You should have reinforced to him that the people he's with are okay and he should listen to them. If you did not, no wonder he ran.

Get your s-it together and make sure that he understands that YOU failed him, not the foster home.

Support your son by supporting the teatment plan set up in the foster home. Rescuing the child from the system can only prolong his treatment and teach him that one should avoid problems by running away from them. Does that really help solve the problem? No.

Contact his caseworker and report his whereabouts. It will only help him receive the treatment he needs.

you have asked this question a total of like 3 times...I think you need to be more worried about why he is in foster care and get your butt moving to get him back home instead of on the computer asking these stupid questions!

Be supportive, you are still his mama and he loves you very much, see him as much as possible, don't break promises. Take plenty of pictures so that he can start a scrapbook of good memories.

the best way to help him if you can is by making sure he is safe- even if some one [other than you] has to turn him in. this is not a nice world for our children to be hiding in. best of luck
