I already know a good diet to help me loose some weight and stay healthy, but I need to tone up as well. I have a flabby tummy still from having my son a few years ago. I had started getting in shape but the last few months I've let it go. I just need to know the best exercise to tone up my tummy the quickest. Please keep in mind I need something I can do at home because I work and I have a 3 year old, so I can't go running or to a gym. Should I just do sit-ups? If so, how many and how long before I can start to see results? Thank you!

sit ups-
1.2 sets of 30 before breakfast and do 2 sets of 30 torso twists
2.3 sets of 30 in the afternoon
3.3 sets of 30 at night

also if you hold in your stomach when youre walking it will be firmer

i saw this online and its youre supposed to lose 2 inches off your waist in a week or 2 and i did it for 2 weeks and it really works! my stomach is a lot flatter than what it was.

I'm in the same boat as my son is 16 months. try Pilates. You can get dvd's to do at home. Also, if you have access to Lifetime tv then Denise Austin has a great show at 7 am and one at 7:30 am every weekday morning. ( I'm east coast). I usually record it if I can't do it at those times. If you are interested in a diet go to lowcarbfriends.org, this is a great site for people trying to get into shape. They have excerise forums as well as all kind of great info! good luck!

I went to Wal-mart and bought the Ab-lounge. It was like a $95 and it works wonders. I do 3 sets of ten in the morning and about five sets of 10 in the evening. Results within days. Start off slow. You don't want to over work your muscles and then work your way up.

Sit ups are great, but you also need to do some aerobic activity. Unfortunetly sit ups won't do it alone. Have you tried the Tae Bo dvds? They are great for every level of fitness and can usually be completed in about 25 minutes. And they are fun also.
Good luck!!
