HANDLING BANANAS
How to Store
Store underripe bananas uncovered at room temperature. To quickly ripen, put them in a paper bag and close. If you want them to ripen faster, place an apple in the bag. The apple will produce ethylene gas, which will speed the ripening process. To delay ripening, place the bananas in the vegetable crisper. The peel will turn brown from the cold, but the fruit will be fine.

positioned the bananas in a paper bag with an apple or a tomato the apple or tomato will emit ethylene gases, which helps velocity up the ripening technique of bananas. If the banana is green it is going to take 24 to 36 hours to ripen it.

There is nothing u can do... If you freeze or refrigerate them they turn black, and the only other alternative is to leave them on the counter or banana tree, and they ripen at their normal rate...

If you want them to last a while. Buy them when they are nice and green. And keep them in a shaded place. I wouldent put them in the fridge though. But dont let them get to warm.

Refrigerate them. The peel will darken but the fruit will not.
