First of all, give yourself a break, you are doing the right thing! IF you are gaining weight, you more than likely are gaining muscle. Here's my advice...DON'T WEIGH YOURSELF! Your clothes will be the biggest indicator of weight loss. Weighing yourself puts too much pressure on you, and can be depressing, however, as I said, you are more than likely gaining muscle weight, it weighs more than fat weight.
Here are some tips to speed things up. Increase your cardio by 10 minutes each session, and or add more sets to your weight training.
Eat 6 small meals throughout the day. It is proven that these mini meals can speed up your metabolism, so you are actually burning calories throughout the day.
Take it easy on yourself=There is no weight loss trick. It takes time and you are going through the right motions. Watch your food intake, keep up at the gym, and relax! It will happen. And don't weigh yourself. You'll see in about a month that your clothes should start feeling looser, waist bands loose, baggy, but you have to be dedicated! Good luck!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

sometimes going to the gym can increase muscle mass. muscle is heavier than fat. if you want to loose weight you need to be doing certain excercises and using the equipment a certain way to loose weight. by hiring a personal trainer at a gym for a bit you can learn how to use the equipment properly to get your desired result; weight loss!!! it is important to go to a nutritionalist to help with proper nutrition. since eating healthy is not only important for weight loss, it is important for healthy growth for a maturing body.
if you can't afford to hire a personal trainer, most good gyms have equipment that you can program to burn fat or recieve cardio benifit. chooses fat burning for weight loss. to get good information on what and how much to eat follow the canada food guide and be sure to find out what a portion size is, it is much smaller than you may think!!!
be sure not to follow any fad diets like low carb or any other that may omit any food groups. this is not a long term solution and you may gain the weight back and more when you begin to eat normally again. long term solutions like changing your lifestyle permanatly will mean long term weight loss and a healthy body. robbing nutrition from a maturing body by not eating a certain food group is not a healthy decision, especially for a 14 year old.
you can do it, and be patient. and know you are already beautiful!!!

eat smaller meals more times throughout the day(try to eat the same amount but spread it out throughout the day). try doing more more intense cardio(keeping your heart rate up for long periods of time). most importantly, avoid eating processed food(anything that comes premade in a box, or fast food). lots of water, fresh fruits and vegetables). there is really no special secret about dieting. it isnt a quick fix, its a lifestyle change, and it has to be maintained.
good luck
