With the normal fluctuations of body weight you can often see a difference of 3 pounds on the scale overnight. It doesn't mean you have lost three pounds. To get meaningful comparisons you need to weigh at the same time everyday. The best time is first thing in the morning after you go to the bathroom but before you eat or get dressed - that is usually the lightest weight of the day. Your before bed weight is often the heaviest weight of the day, so you can't really compare one with the other.
