It's normal to question, and healthy.
As for God as it has been defined to you, why not create your own definition? My God is everyone and everything, my higher power is the universe, and it is still God, I respect all religions and all people, and I unconditionally love every being in the universe, and I know in my soul that my God appreciates and loves me for that.

I don't think you are a bad person at all. You don't say how old you are, but I can tell you that you may change your mind about your beliefs later on. Keep an open mind. Going to church is not so much about expresing your belief it is to feel closer to God and to prove that you love Him and believe in Him. You can pray anywhere.
When I was in my 20's, I didn't go to church much. Once my children were 5 years old, I wanted them to experience the beliefs and experiences that we did growing up (going to parochial schools and church every week). It is important to pass on values and beliefs. They don't go to church now, but I hope they will change their minds once they have kids of their own.
Living your life to help others and doing the best you can is a good thing. You are a good person, I'm sure of it.
Now go to church....... :)

>>> Do you think I am a bad person?>>>
No. But the number-one thing isn't whether a person is "bad" or "good." It's whether or not the person is a "saved" one.
>>>I believe in god, but I dont think I need to go to church to prove this.>>>
That's not why we go to church. We don't go to church to prove to God that we believe in Him. He already knows that we do.
We go to church to worship Him -- and, in the case of those of us of the Catholic persuasion, to receive Christ's body and blood in the Eucharist.
>>> I also find myself thinking sometimes that there might not be a heaven or hell.>>>
Okay. But you say you believe in God, and every major religious belief system teaches that there's a heaven and a hell -- or spiritual states that closely resemble them.
>>>That when you die your life if just over, its scary to think that but sometimes I do.>>>
It's scary, and it's also contradictory for someone who says they believe in God. Would God really allow that to happen? To just have it "be over" when we die?
If so, then we're no better than animals in God's eyes -- but, of course, we know that is not true.
>>>I try to live the best life I can, I help people who need it, even the people who stand on the corners holding signs. I love my family and friends and would do anything for any of them. So I guess my question is am I a bad person and is it normal to wonder about the things I wonder about? >>>
No, you're not a bad person, and yes, it is normal to wonder about things like that -- as long as, at the end of the day, you come to conclusions which are in line with belief in God.

Hey I don't think your a bad person, but then again I'm human like yourself. I guess the best way to live is to realize that God is watching over us at all times and we should be living our lives the way he would have us to. I myself don't attend church but I am honest to myself, other people, and most of all honest before God.

You're not a "bad person." Questions are normal, but answers aren't found unless you actually take the time and effort to look for them. I think you've got a few misconceptions about church (many do). I also think you're missing out on a bigger picture that is right in front of you.
One major aspect of church that you're missing is the idea of community. Sure, you can help out those you see on the corner, but who helps you when it really counts? Sure, your family, but wouldn't it be great to have even more love in your life?
Jesus said that it was great to love those that love you, but try loving those that hate you. You'll be amazed at how that can change your life, the lives of others, and the world we live in.
Peace

I think you're in the majority. You seem like a thoughtful and logical person to me. I think those that blindly follow an organized religion never question it, and look down on those w/ different beliefs are the ones who'll have the problem in the end.

Not having a particular religion or church does not make you a bad person. We all wonder about our spirituality. Be a good person - respect others and thier beliefs. Keep your morals high. Those are the things that make a good person.

Nobody here can say whether or not you are a bad person. We don't know what's in your heart and who are we to judge? 1 Samuel 16:7, "mere man sees what appears to the eyes; but as for Jehovah, he sees what the heart is."
