I bet you are a fun date!

To answer your question, you are getting very few calories doing this, so "yes" you will lose weight. However, this practice is very symptomatic of an eating disorder, so if you are doing this on a regular basis...you need counseling. Please, get it before you make yourself sick.

Sorry, but it's a foolish dieting method. Calories are absorbed by the body when it breaks down the food you eat. If you eat no food, then where will it get calories? Chewing your food will provide some calories, just as chewing gum does, but not a significant amount.

This is equal to skipping meals...only you are also wasting food on top of that. When you do not eat, your body's metabolism slows down to hoard the calories it has so it can keep running. All you do by not eating is make it more difficult for you to lose weight, and do potential harm to your body.

If you want to lose, eat (chew and swallow) a balanced, healthy diet of food each day. Cut your calories to around 1500 a day, and exercise for an hour a day, 5 days a week.

THAT is how one loses weight and is more likely to keep it off. Starving yourself just increases your chances of weight gain. You may lose some pounds while not eating...but when you go back to eating (and you have to, to live) your body will hoard every calorie you give it and your metabolism will stay slow in case you try to starve it again. You are likely to put back on more pounds than you lost.

Sounds like you are on track for an eating disorder...seriously. No, you are definitely not getting the same amount of calories as you would if you were to swallow the food...you are getting very little calories....sounds like perhaps a tactic and anorexic would use. If you continue, you will loose a lot of weight and do serious damage to your health.

If you are not eating it, then you are not digesting it, and you are not getting the calories from it.

Some of it will stay in your mouth and you will swallow it, so you are getting some calories.

You will lose weight, but this is not the right way.

You need to eat sensibly, preferably 5-6 small meals a day. You will lose weight because you speed up your metabolism.

With the way you are doing it, once you start eating again your metabolism would have slowed because you starved yourself . You will gain MORE weight in the long run this way.

First of all, "Houston, we have a problem"..........You have an eating disorder if you are even thinking of doing this. Weight loss takes time. It takes the right foods, exercise, and a sound mental being. Talk to your doctor immediately. This can be a very dangerous way of living, and a rollercoaster physically and mentally. Please get some help, talk to someone to get you on a healthy track to weight loss, THIS IS NOT IT!!!!

Have you ever seen intervention on A & E? There are many people with this eating disorder and no all were not skinny. This not the way to loose weight. There are many other ways that won't lead to checking in a hospital.

this is very unhealthy. it sounds like you have anorexia which is a disease. If you want to lose weight eating actually is very important. You just need to eat the right foods and excercise. Go talk to your Dr. about this and get some help before you end up not getting the nutrients you need to survive.

I don't think that's good for you, your not consuming anything to keep your body healthy. In order to lose weight you have to eat 6 very small meals a day & exercise. By doing that your body isn't starving & will gladly allow fat to be lost. If not eating protine your body will consume your muscle to keep from starving.
Hope this helps.

It's doubtful that your getting the same amount of calories but surely your getting some. Yes - you'll probably lose weight but you need to be careful as you could allow toxics to enter your system by losing too fast.
