If your hair and scalp allow, only shampoo every other day. On the 'off' day just get your hair wet when you shower, then style it like you usually do. My "no shampoo" days are often ponytail days, so looking a little sleek is a good thing.
Let your hair dry naturally whenever you can.
Try a moisturizing shampoo AND conditioner.
Use a leave-in conditioner, and carry it with you to use during the day. In a pinch a little hand lotion works too.
A good deep conditioning at your hair salon will help. At home you can use a treatment such as Pantene's Intensive Restoration Treatment with moisturizers. Jojoba oil is another good treatment.
Lately I have been using Avon's Salon Straight smoothing balm, when I dry my hair straight. So far the fly-aways have stayed away.
One more thing, when you use a hair dryer, do not get your hair absolutely dry. You can start on a high heat setting, but as you feel your hair getting drier, switch to a lower heat. I finish off with a cool, low speed setting, stopping before my hair feels completely dry. It helps close up the hairs, keeping the moisture inside. My hair also looks shinier when I do this.

Take a bounty (dryer sheet) and rub it on your hair and brush, then brush.. should get rid of most flyaways.
