I am interested in knowing at which age you all became interested in religion?
And at which age you devoted yourself to your chosen religion?

I started studying religion when I was about 10 years old, but took some time off from contemplation to be a teenager for a few years.

I devoted myself to my religion when I was 31 years old - 2 years ago Saturday!

I was always interested in morality and politics believing I was a Christian until the age of 14 when to my amazement I discovered I wasn't a Christian at all but merely a person who believed that God existed and there is a big difference. I struggled with concepts and researched and read the Bible (much like some of the more genuine atheists on this site are doing) for the next seven years. On the 12th of July 1990 I decided to become a Christian because although I hadn't worked everything out, I just knew something was missing in my life. I have never looked back and funnily enough I am still trying to answer some of those same questions but they are not critical because the big one is dealt with...God filled the void in my heart.

I was probably 7 or 8. I never grew up in church, I was in a hostel until 13 yrs so me and my friends went to a youth meeting cause we were somehow rebelious and I heard religion for the first time there and i believed. Became devoted at 13, left it for maybe one and a half year and got back again when I finished high school. Now I am born again. I am now 22 years.

I was 10 1/2 when I joined the church.

My life continued to go in a downward spirial, and I had more and more spiritual questions that Christianity was not able to answer; and since these things happened to me; I could not dismiss them either.

Around 16 or so I became an athiest but continued to attemd church.

At the age of 41; I had an out of body experience OBE that confirmed life after death and gave me a spiritual awakening.

Then I explored almost every religion known to man to find the answers for my spiritual questions. I found my current path and it answered virtually all of those nagging spiritual questions.

the respond is "specific." Fundamentalism is starting to be, and that's important to all and sundry... particularly human beings of reason! Islam is on the leading edge of the backward push of religion, a minimum of remote places. we've fundie christians to thank for that over here interior the U.S. i believe that we are at a ingredient the place we ought to pass the two right into a clean Renaissance, or a clean darkish Age. Frankly, i'm somewhat scared.

I was not raised in any church but I've been interested in learning about all religions since about age 16. At 29 I focused on Christianity and was baptized and joined my church at 31.

I still enjoy learning about all religions, understanding leads to tolerance, tolerance to acceptance(of other people even if you don't always agree with them of their beliefs), acceptance to love, and love is the way of God.

I think at the beginning it was some thing inherited from the parents,, and it is important at a young age like 5-17 to have some thing to commit to ,,, do and don't do,, some thing to teach you write from wrong with a spiritual power ,, but after that age you begin questioning why and what,,, when you become questioning you will find the funny unrealistic answers. at that time you become unbeliever and you start to find your own beliefs...but I think its important to set your mind from childhood to what is wrong and what is right and by doing so you will not slip ...

The older I got the more I went for the bible, the more I learned from the bible the less I cared about religion Philip.2:5,9-12; 2Tim.2:15; 3:15-16 as Timothy.

early on it was interesting. Puberty it became very interesting and had a higher inate craving for religion, as well as with my peers. (read god part of the brain, which puts it into context) as i , as well as my peers, grew, the logical members began to slowly rediscover what religion really is or the other logical ones used abstract logic to defend it.
