I just wanted to understand peoples way of thinking. As a christian, i read the Bible which says not to judge people by what they hear...... now i have just been running through a few and i hear people bad mouthing others cos of what they hear on the media. The media is hugely biased cos they all are owned by one owner.

The media is hugely biased. The enemy must always be demonized when you are beating on the war drums.

The concept of judging is overplayed by those who want to sin and get away with it. They pull one phrase out of the Bible, (Out of context) and use it to try and get Christians to stop saying this or that is sin. ( such as homosexuality) The Bible speaks quite a bit about us discerning thing according to the word of God, and examining people by the things that they say. We should dscern on the basis of truth, not on the basis of hearsay. The media is terribly corrupt and biased, so trust God's word.

you're right; people are easily influencedby what they hear. people out there are ignorant and arrogant thinking one person's way of reporting the news is always fair. also,a small group of people don't really show what the rest are like. it is stupid to act like good and bad comes from miniority instead of majority.

ok and what exactly do you want to know

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?

7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Yes, you have a good point. I think a lot of people come here to let off some steam 'safely', they know they won't get punched for it...
