If you think about how the eye sees then this question doesn't make too much sense... its not that the eye is reaching out as far as it can... light just comes in to it - the light might have come from the opposite side of the Universe. So a human eye, unaided can see many thousands of light years away - which means only that the eyes can detect light from objects sent 1000's of light years away, thousands of years ago.

Very far.
The Andromeda galaxy is visible to the naked eye, and it is 2.5 million light-years away.

The limit of human distance vision is not dependent on focus, but on light-gathering ability of the eye. The threshold of brightness for the human eye is sometimes expressed in astronomical magnitude, where 6 is the dimmest that can be seen unaided by a telescope.

To the horizon and as far as the sun and stars. Anything else requires some sort of device to define what we see any better.
