so theres this guy......he used to be a customer where i used to work my boss kept telling us both to go out..im pretty shy so i just kept quiet. one day he tells my boss in front of my that were going out on the weekend. i just went along with it for a bit but in the end we admitted it was a joke.. do u think hes actually interested?? he visits the cafe really often.

I guess the joke would be on him if you told him to get lost if he ever asked you out again. How could some one say that they went out with another person as a joke, that's just rude and insensitive

honey, he is defintely interested. he is only testing you to see if you are. give it a shot, ask HIM out for a drink or dinner. or simply ask him to help you pick out a gift for your "brother"(can fill in another male relative if you don't have one, don't start out any relationship lying) then go from there. meeting outside of your work will make things seem less awkward & less forced.
