No. A true Art cannot be related to business. People use Art as an investment. But the real Artist love his work does "Art for Art sake" and never relates that to monetary value.

As someone who holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theater and a Masters Degree in Arts Administration, I will try my best to answer this question. In my opinion, the two are unrelated. Business (whether it be ethical or unethical, traditional or non-traditional) is about profit. Art is about freedom of expression and, I believe, when an artist is creating, profit is usually the furthest thing from his or her mind. This is not to say art and business cannot coexist (many businesses support the arts and once the the work of art is completed, there certainly is a business aspect that develops.) But always, always, always, the creative process should be untethered from business and its rules.

business and art can be related only when you understand that doing business successfully is also an art...
as any art needs specialisation .. even business needs specialisation in identifying the oppurtunity and managing men and finance .. and then marketing the product successfully to create a brand..
comparing it to any art you need an inborne interest to move further and get involved... getting involved tottally or having an high degree of interest is the essence of success in art and the same applies in business also

To my way of thinking there are two types of "art businesses"; the first is of an artist that creates for pleasure or obsession and gains a loyal following and through that following sells the created art. The second is the "commercial artists" who creates on demand. This artist markets his/her talent and does what the customers want (for a fee of course).
The two, maybe not be necessarily mutually exclusive

Business is related to art. Because an artist has his own style and creativity in doing things...Business is also like this, a successful businessman has his own creativity in applying theories he learned in business.

Business is a science, art and philosophy.
The science is the numbers, formulas and principles
The art is refinement of processes and systems.
The philosophy is the way of life of the business.
