I was wondering if there is a lot of scarring, if the healing time takes a long time, or if anyone has had a bad experience

The healing time is usually 7 - 10 days. There should not be any scarring. I did it 10 years ago and have never regretted it a day since then. It took away that tired look and gave me a more refreshing and youthful appearance.

My wife had it done on a drooping eye-lid (result of childhood surgery) a few months ago and after a couple of weeks, once the bruising had gone, it looked perfect and still does. There's no visible scarring if the surgeon is good. It's important, after the operation, to clean the eye-lid according to instructions and don't be tempted to use ANY make-up for three to four weeks.

My mom had it done and I'm planning to one day. (We both have droopy eyelids.) She loves her results but the only problem she has now is not producing enough tears and therefore making it pretty hard to wear contact lenses. Her eyes dry out easily.
