This is not a question I would ever choose to answer. But, having just responded to one of your other questions (and then another one that my computer zapped), I decided to browse through your list. Such variety. And interesting. And this one caught my eye.
You know, I don't think true love is ever past. Infatuation, yes. Eroticism, definitely. Affection, maybe. But, love? no.
Life goes on. Eventually you achieve your ideal, lifelong love (if you are blessed). You are ecstatic; you are happy; you are content. That's three different pleasures of the best of loves.
But that first true love--or any true love--you never forget. No matter how bitter the loss may have been at the time, probably both of you knew (in your heart of hearts, whatever that is) that your relationship was unwise, was not meant to be.
But you will always be grateful (and nostalgic) when you have loved and or have been loved (maybe even if you were not loved in return). You count your blessings (and you don't exactly forget the bitterness either, even when you forgive). That earlier love taught you not to be content with less than love. And, if you are fortunate, it also taught you how to recognize and value ideal love when it comes along.
If it's past, it wasn't love, and you may forget or remember only casually. If it's love, it's never past. Never forgotten. Still real, but of a different order. No longer a source of ecstasy, maybe not even of happiness or contentment.
How often do you think of such a love? As often as you remember one whose death you grieve. Often.
And in much the same way. With gratitude. And nostalgia. And renewed commitment for your ideal, lifelong love--the source of ecstasy and happiness and contentment every day.

I split from my partner about 4 years ago, but we kept getting back together until we finally parted company 2 years ago. We both still loved each other but knew it had to end cos we were bad for each other. He was the love of my life and despite having male "friends" since, I still think of him every day. Sometimes its what a d*** he was (lol) but mostly the good times and missing what we had. He is with someone else now so probably never gives me a second thought but I still miss him and think about him and don't think I will ever have those feelings for another human being. (God, what a sad old bird I am, lol)

Pretty often. I broke up with the love of my life years ago - for pretty good reasons that still stand. He is very successful in his work and has a wife and family now. I heard updated details on his life about a year ago from a friend of a friend and have been thinking of him ever since.
Not about how I want him or anything, just nostalgia about how I felt with him and how no one else before or since measures up...

The one that got away, every day of my life. Some of the rest, not much, a few occasionally and the majority including my Ex, a little as I can, but friends sometimes ask me stupid questions, like - what ever happened to so-and -so; or do you remember when we were... and the good bad and ugly are flooded back into my mind.
