Protein is essential to maintain the health of the body (muscles, skin, hair and nails. Vitamin A is fantastic for hair and nails so meat, green leafy vegetables and carrots can give you a boost. Essential fatty acids are required to help your skin, hair and nails (they also fight off the bad fats- saturated fats). Essential fatty acids are the good fats (unsaturated) found in avocado, nuts and seeds, and fish!

Eating protean is very important, but will not speed up your hair growth. Your hair grows at a set rate decided upon your genetic make up. Yes it is required you have protean, but it does not mean if you stopped eating it tomorrow, your hair would stop growing. Your body would rob from your muscle to continue the growth of hair and nails, and it would do so at the same rate.

Make sure you get enough protein and have a healthy diet in general. There are alot of factors in hair growth (including taking essential fatty acids, like fish oils, to make sure it is moisturized and strong).

nothing. eat protien and whatever everyone else said but the amount that that is going to effect in hair growth is minimal if not nothing. it is way easier to stunt hair growth. just stay healthy and your hair will grow back in time. your hair isnt protien, its dead keratinocytes or whatever their name is. its dead skin cells keratin. protien is going to help hair growth as much as it is cellular reproduction and death... none
