The flashing light is simply you hard drive led telling you that it's working, a PC is never really idle so it will flash, it's when it stops flashing that you know you have a problem.
Using "msconfig" from the "run" command in you "Start" menu is a good way of stopping programmes starting when Windows boots but beware!
Really only use the "Startup" menu and then onkly choose non essential programmes such as quicktime, realplayer and the such. Do NOT touch anything to do with anti-virus or spyware software. If you turn off one programme at a time and see how that affects you machine you can always remember which one it was to turn it back on again. As with anything Windows treat with care and take your time.

Well the blinking thing has nothing to do with the internet. Its the hard drive light, it blinks when you write to the hard drive, or read so when you are downloading it goes blink blink, same thing when you open a program or start windows.
The miscon..... i dont get it do you mean the msconfig from run. well it can stop programs starting up, but you should know what you are doing. or you will mess things up

It is likely to be the hard drive light. It comes on twhen the drive is being read, or written to. Mostly it. you will be using the hard drive a lot of the time, just ignore it.
'msconfig' should not be altered by anyone who doesnt know what they are doing.. It's good that you want to explore some of the deeper functions of your PC, but a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. This is not a good forum to get deep answers about msconfig.

nicely, you ought to have some form of video card, or you does no longer have something displayed on the demonstrate. yet that Aspire workstation workstation you have is an rather low-end workstation and not designed for video games in any respect. The video card is rather undesirable for gaming and the CPU isn't very good in any respect the two. A average video card improve could help. i could propose a PCI-exhibit nVidia video card interior the $60-80 dollar variety. that could desire to help.

ok it has nothing to do with anti virus or internet/downloads it means that ur pc is in working progress wot is good.
some times when u running heavy software or loading windows lite blinks very often wot means that it reads data from HDD(hard drive)
there is nothing wrong with ur pc.

It sounds to me as if your base unit has decided to go on the game and has become a prostitute....
Just be careful that you don't drive by it slowly or you'll be in the newspaper!
