Where are you from or which other countries or regions do you know?
And what all is organised already for you?
With some extra information on your needs, I could supply almost any information - I'm living a few minutes off Zurich.

Get the cheapest apartment you can find and spend all your money eating out and touring around.
Everything's closed on Sundays, except museums and the train station.
It rains too much and there's way too much fog.
Get the half-tax train card, or better yet a Generalabonnement for the trains.
Sign up NOW for all the times you need to do laundry between now and the end of the six months. While you're at it, make the restaurant reservations (see point 1).
It's a great place to live, especially for only six months and especially if you like clocks.

I have lived there for the past 4 years. It is a nice place to be with a lovely lake nearby for relaxing.
It is an expensive place to live though. It is cheaper to stay somewhere close to the city, but actually not in the center, as accommodation prices are very high there.

, kleen...very kleen, very polite people but not too mutch friendly. Surounding with beautifull mountins, lake . Speeking english, german, italian, . Very expensive, don,t shoping in the Bahnhof Strasse..The chocolat Sprungli , Ovomaltine shake very popular. Have a good time!!!

Well i lived there for seven and a half weeks over the summer just email any questions you have and I will answer them... its a bit much to write all you need to know in this... so just ask...
