An ISO file can be a image file, which may contain any type of file i.e., document file, movie file, sound file, software setup file ..... Anything..
I guess, you have a ISO file which contains a movie file most probably in a AVI format..
All you need is an ISO editng software to extract the avi file from the ISO file.
Download the sofware Magic ISO from http://www.magiciso.com/ and chk it out

i think you may be getting file formats mixed up -
A ISO is a cd burning format - purley used to burn a dvd or cd
A avi - is a video format
However this ISO file may contain any file format inside so there may well be a Avi video file in side- you can downlaod Winrar at rarlabs.com and extract the video file inside.

if the iso file contains dvd files (vob, ifo etc) then use something like DVDshrink or DVDdecrypter to repack the iso into a VIDEO_TS container; then you will need to convert VOB to AVI - do a search for converters or guides online (eg www.videohelp.com), or try Super (free)
