Depends on the size of the ham and whether it is on the bone or not. Generally 15 mins per lb - don't overcook especially if adding a glaze and putting in oven as it will go dry. Personally just prefer it to be boiled as it is moister and if you add seasoning to the water, such as bay leaves, peppercorns etc. just as tasty. Hope this helps.

Over cooking the turkey is the clarification yours are dry. make investments $5 or much less in a probe thermometer and use it. a hundred sixty five tiers in the thickest area of the fowl and your turkey is complete. ANd to the ham, ANY smoked ham is advantageous baked. Spiral sliced is advantageous, boneless is advantageous so is a great shank ham. lower back, use the thermometer; a hundred forty five tiers in the midsection of the ham and this is complete.

why do you ned to put it in the oven ? just roast calculate the cooking time, i dont know how big your ham is, cover with honey for the last hour. the stock from the ham will make excellent soup.

a slow boil for 30 minutes should do it, what your actually trying to accomplish is removing some of the salt. no more than 45 minutes, you don't want to overdo it and a nice slow boil. let it cool and put your glaze and pineapple and cherries on. i make the glaze with gingerale...good luck

ham is usually cured and so cooked already,the best way to cook it is 150 degrees for 90 mins,mix together tomato sce[trust me] and honey and pour over for the last 60 mins cooking for a perfect glaze.

we use a slowcooker so it gets cooked for about 16 hours, tastes much better then just boiling.
They also don't salt them as much as they used to so no need to worry about that as much.
