Green is the color of focus. If you add greenery, green bedding....something along these lines, it will give you a sense of serenity and help you to concentrate. Also be sure to have plenty of lighting and a workspace.

In dormitories, I remember seeing people take cloth and drape it across ceiling to add instant ambience. For you, this would be a great idea. Either green or linen colored cloth. Good luck. If you need more suggestions, feel free to email me at mommataurus@yahoo.com

Add book shelves. Make sure the chair you sit in to study is a sturdy yet comfortable chair. Organize your desk making sure things used most often are accessible. Leave blank space on desk for writing and the book you are using. When using the computer, make sure the printer is within reach. Add some items of comfortable pillows, warm throw, etc. Make sure television viewing area and dining area are away from the study area of room. Organization is the key to a stress free study environment.

Seperate the TV if you have one from the main part of the room, have one area where you are comfortable reserved for study. If you continue to use that area to study in your mind will be trained to accepet knowlage while in that spot.
