I don't think that you should be mad. How/what would you do if you came home all ready to see him but your best Girls told you to come out with them. You wouldn't want to dis your girls so HE probably just thought he'd stop buy but then ended up figuring that it would be easier for you to just go there to see you. He really does miss you or we wouldn't have said it and the last thing you need to is get in a fight after not seeing him for a week. I think you should just let this one go but politely let him know that it bothered you. like "i was hoping to have some alone time with you..."

It sounds a little suspicious. Let me get this straight, he told you "He misses and loves you" and he with be back at "5-ish - 5:30-ish" and then he calls you at 8, 2 and half to 3 hours later to ask you to come to a party? Sounds a little fishy, you have the right to be a little upset.
Did you ask him why he didn't call around 5:00-5:30? And what was he doing, for the those 3 hours.
To me if he missed you so much and really couldn't wait to see you, why did he call you 3 hours late? That'd be my question. I know if I had a girlfriend and I did that to her, I would have some explaining to do.

You overreacting honey. My SO can be 2 or 3 days late , its life (he is away 14-28 days at a time) He prolly did want to see you. I know you thought see you meant a lil something intimate and one on one , but its a man they don't think like us. He meant hang out with you public or not was never a thought.

Probably tou don't wanna goto a party that is too late, at night. what's the problem tell him that you can't come too late, meet you tomorrow. I feel that's perfectly fine.
