What would you do if it were you...go see your doctor? Take her to the vet. She only has one set of eyes. Don't mess with it yourself. Leave it to the experts to examine her and do whats best.

See a vet as soon as possible. Eye problems and trauma are not something you can ever wait and see on It can be an emergency. It sounds like a scratch or corneal ulcer. You usually can't see this on your own. Vets use a flouricein stain that will turn a scratch green to make it show up on the eye. It could also be an infection. These types of problems are Extremely Painful! The squinting and tearing indicates that your cat is in pain. See a vet as soon as possible. Do not give anything over the counter to your cat. You can flush the eye out with saline, but nothing else, no human drops or ointments.

My cats eye went like that and it turned out that she had ringworm.
This doesnt sound the same though.
So just dab her eye with some cotton wool and water. It sounds like she just has some dust or something in it. But if the problems persist, take her to the vet and let them take a look.

Good luck!

The eye may have been irritated by dust or some particle... just like how our eyes get when something gets caught in it. Just get a couple of cotton balls, dip them in a cup of sterilized warm water with a pinch of salt dissolved in it. Wash kitty's eyes with the cotton balls by gently wiping. If the cat's eye gets any worse, you need to have a vet look at it.
