- Go to bookdisk.com (link below) and download and create a set of windows 98 boot floppy disks.
- Reboot your PC with the windows 98 boot disk int he floppy drive, and your PC will boot up to a DOS command prompt
- at the prompt, type "format c:" (without the quotes) and it will warn you that you are about to erase all data - press Y to confirm
- given the size of your hard drive and the speed of your computer, the formatting may take a while (maybe over an hour)
- Re-install Windows 98 from the Windows 98 CD
Just in case the warning from the format command doesn't alert you enough, you will lose ALL of your data - all your Word files, all your photos, everything. Unfortunately, viruses have a habit of commandeering otherwise innocent files, so by backing them up before you start you may also be backing up the virus.

As windows 98 is an operating system you can't uninstall it. You have to reinstall it. Do you have the Boot + Installation CD with you? Arrange for it and restart the computer with the installation CD in the CD ROM. Follow the instruction step by step, don't change the partition else all data will be removed. You will get the option for formatting C drive, do that.
One problem is there that Win98 cannot detect all drivers on it's own so you have to have the CDs for Monitor, Motherboard, Display settings, modems, printers etc.

You can't "uninstall" it without have something to go back to. You could reinstall it. If it was an upgrade and it gave you the opportunity to make a restore disk, then take it, but what are you upgrading from?? Windows 3.1?
