Wales is a part of United Kingdom and not England....
To understand this, you need to understand what United Kingdom actually stand for.....
--> United Kingdom comprises of
--> England + Wales + Northern Ireland + Scotland
This will give you an idea of why it is called so...
All these different parts have their own constitution, parliament,language, culture and Flag, but in total they are represented under United Kingdom......Not many people in the world are aware of these facts...

Wales and England are conjoined, more closely even than they are joined to the other constituent nations of the United Kingdom, but Wales is not "part of" England, any more than England is part of Wales.
England and Wales have been ruled by the same royalty and government since 1284, though formal union didn't come until 1536, under Henry VIII - himself partly Welsh. The legal system is the same in the two countries, and has been so since 1746; but in terms of culture, sports teams and even (to some extent) language they are quite distinct.
I'm not "part of" my brother, even though we are closely related. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we argue; as boys we shared a bedroom, and we still share a lot of DNA - but we are distinct individuals.

Wales is most definatly not part of England. It is part of the UK. If you are thinking of visiting Wales that would be great but I wouldnt ask a Welshman the same question.
I have lived in both and prefer Wales!!!
We have our own language and culture and everything is cheaper here than England.
come and see for yourself you will love it.

No, England is England, Wales is Wales, Scotland is Scotland and Northern Ireland is Northern Ireland.
Each one is an independently named part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
However, Scotland and Ireland were originally (for certain definitions of originally, depends on how far you go back) independent Kindgoms, whereas Wales was "only" a principality (i.e. ruled by Prince and not a King).
Of course, it's a lot more complicated than that -- depends on who was doing what to whom and when.
But as far as naming locations: Wales is a separate geographic entity to England.

Wales is one of the four constituent nations of the United Kingdom, which in addition to England, also includes Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wales is located in the south-west of Great Britain and is bordered by the English counties of Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire to the east, the Bristol Channel (Môr Hafren) to the south, St George's Channel (Sianel San Siôr) to the south-west, and the Irish Sea (Môr Iwerddon) to the west and north, and also by the estuary of the River Dee (Afon Dyfrdwy) in the north-east.
