There are other reasons, but what I'll throw out there is obligations: wife and kids mean more work and less money for themselves, permanent girlfriend means their social life is restricted around the girl's schedule, and for all those sacrifices, he'll need regular lubrication and be disappointed if they're not getting enough. Scared isn't even the right word, what you're observing is "dis-interested"

Uhh, why do girls on yahoo! answers generalize so much? I'm not scared of love or admitting when I love someone. Some guys aren't scared, some guys are scared of being tied down to one woman, some guys have been hurt and don't want to be hurt again. You could say the same for any woman...

Im not scared to fall in love are you kidding? I have met just as many woman in my life scared of the same thing. It is commitment!

It's not that they're scared to fall in love, it's that they have to find the right person to fall in love with. But so do girls, which makes girls just as scared. Guys just aren't as mushy gushy... most of the time.;)

Your correct.
I was hurt intentionally. While I worked overtime in a steelmill, my wife had sex with her girlfriend from her job. How insulting. When we open our hearts to others, we must first make sure they are competent, and able to appreciate, and handle out hearts with care. Our heart is the most precious gift we have to give to others. Well Guys are as scared as girls are.....It just depends on how they handle themselves when that situation comes along.....Some guy fall in love fast like some women.....but the guy who isn't afraid or atleast handles his fear with confidence is truely the one for you.....
