You need to cover your back to make sure you don't end up with someone underage (or visa versa). First, put as much detail as possible in your profile, especially your age. I wouldn't trust anyone with next to info on display. Make sure the person you want to meet also has a complete profile. Send each other an up-to-date photo and, if you don't have one, each of you buy a web-cam. Then you can arrange to meet on neutral ground in a public place (with plenty of witnesses) - again to cover your back. Good luck.
