Why is it that people think they can come on my property wearing garbage like cross necklaces? Someone came on my property wearing one and he refused to take it off after i told him numerous times that my property is officially atheist so i ripped it off him and threw it in the sewer.

You may be an atheist and your neighbours know these. But do those who are on your property - sales persons, milkman, postal delivery know you are one?
Its their right to wear a cross, a skull even around their neck.
By ripping the necklace off, you are being rude and uncivil to the people around you and shows no respect to them.
Dont want anyone on your property...fence them and place a notice board. Heck, walk to the side walk and pick all your mails, milk, papers.

1. Is your property zoned atheist? Darn I'm getting mine zoned "no dumb asses"
2. are you generally offended by all signs of religion. (note you believe there is no god..FYI you have a religion.) Would you do the same to a star of David (if so you would be labeled anti jewish).
3. what gives you the right to destory others property? You have no right to steal and destory things that belong to others.
4. why didn't you ask this person to leave if they offended you so much?

As someone who doesn't believe in a higher power, why does it offend you that others do? I wouldn't care if you came to my house with an "I'm an Atheist" necklace on, and I'm a Southern Baptist. Live and let live.

On your private property you are free to restrict the items that you will allow. I suspect that you probably will not have many friends coming over, though.

why are you so offended by crosses, if your truely atheist you would laugh at their symbols and not feel threatened by them
