They're a normal person, they don't stand out in any other way, and this is someone you encounter periodically. How would you deal with that person?

nothing to do with me .why do you think you must deal with it ,are you a fascist

and he would be a psuedo satanist ,which is like being a wiccan ,,there are many new sort of religions like this around they are tend to be Pagan type people who love nature and are harmless ,they do not kill other people ,they tend to be better behaved than the average christian.

if it was a real Satanist .he would be very rich and powerfull not a normal person at all.,and into human sacrifice, worshipping moloch and most likely be a free mason of high degree ,that kind of people you stay well away from ,if you value your and your families lives
check Alex jones and David Icke on www.infowars and look for Satanic rituals and human sacrifice ,also dark secrets in boheminan grove ,
find Aleistor Crowley in the browser ,he started the satanic cult of Hitler the skull and bones society ,which is also at yale and most of the presidents were members.
another catagory all together.

I would deal with them the same way I deal with Christians: Ignore their delusions and focus on the person. Most folks are sane until you get to their faiths; I avoid talking about such things. Makes the day go by a lot better.

I live on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada. I have been encountering Satanists since tenth grade, and I'm sure that among my neighbours, there must be a few. It is not my responsibility to "deal with them". In my country, we have "freedom of conscience and religion", and that person has the freedom, under our Charter, to worship whatever he likes. If he was a decent guy and didn't try to push his beliefs on me, I wouldn't avoid him, because I wouldn't like to be shunned or otherwise "dealt with" because of my worldview.

I would think being a Satanist is not normal because of their practices. - However if someone did admit this to me, as a Christian I wouldn't disrespect them but I wouldn't be pals with them either.

Does this offend you? I'm Southern Baptist, and I'm fine with it. I have several friends who practice different pagan religions, and we get along fine. One friend asked me if her religion offended me. I said no and asked if mine offended her. She was surprised that I would ask since Christianity is so widely accepted in the U.S. As long as this person doesn't try to 'convert' you, and you don't try to 'convert' them, I think you'll be okay. Trust me, religion is not contagious. You have to want to be a Baptist, a Lutheran, a Catholic, or even a Satanist to be one.

Just as I'd deal with any other person. People shouldn't be treated any differently for choice of religion.

I'd probably think they're a little weird - possibly incapable of holding down a salaried job. I'd make sure he didn't know if I kept any pets. Who knows, maybe he'd want to steal and "sacrifice" them.

"Deal with"? Huh? You think I'd *care* that much to 'deal' with them?

For a start, I'd tell them that Satan is a mythological entity who fulfills the same function as Santa - a behavioural modification tool to encourage children to behave.

Then I'd refer them to a great psychiatrist that I know.
