Gosh Julia, I love the way you present false statements and jump to unrelated conclusions. First of all atheism is not a religion. Second the religion of the State of the Soviet union was the Communist Party and the State. Just like it is for China, and the same as it was for Hitler and the Nazis (Fanatical Conservatve Christians). They were not killing because they did not believe in God. They were killing because they believed in a political ideal. They were killing for the glory of the Father(mother, home)Land.
People are not motivated toi kill by a lack of faith in God(s). Or by a lack of faith in the righteousness of their political system.
Now about your numbers, I would really like to see where you are getting those from. Are you counting all of Russias war dead as part of it, without counting the people Russia lost to the Christians trying to destroy the atheists(Hitler). Or the people killed by Christian Americans in Vietnam. And even at 150 million is that really more than in all the wars before? What about the 90% of the population of South America, Central America, and the Caribean killed by the Christian Spanish. How about the millions wiped out in North America by the Christian Founders of the Christian English, French and Spanish.

Did you know atheism IS NOT a religion?
Did you know something like 30 million Native Americans (north, central and south) were killed by the Spaniards, Dutch, English and other CHRISTIAN settlers of the new world? And that most were slaughtered because they refused to follow Jesus, supposedly a peaceful god?
Communism did not recognize any religion, that's why they were atheist. And oh, by the way: Hitler was Roman Catholic, and was personally responsible for 40 million deaths.

Honestly, think before you speak. Britain, France, Spain, and Germany were all incredibly religious. All of them did terribly murderous things in the form of the Crusades, the Inquisition, Reconquista, the war between the Catholics and Protestants in Ireland, heck, even the populating of the Americas resulted in hundreds of millions of murdered natives in the name of Christianity. And then you factor in World War II which was caused by a Catholic madman.
You really need to learn your history. There is no religion in history thats caused as much pain and suffering in Christianity. And its far worse than anything the Atheists have doled out.

You are crazy. Atheism is not religion. I was raised in ex communistic country, so I know something about that. Atheism was never official religion of communism, because atheism is not a religion. Communism forbid ed all religions in a country (although religious people still practiced their religion).
Just don't talk about the system who killed milions of people... USA is killing people all the time (Native Americans, Muslims, black people), Muslim people in Africa kill Christians, Christians kill Christians (IRA), Christians kill Muslims. And all in the name of GOD!

Millions of Nativ Americans, Aztecs, Mayans and Africans were killed in the name of god.
And then, you have the civil wars, world wars, the Burning Times, the overtaking of the holy land thing...
And, might I add the atom bombs that destroyed Nagasaki and Hiroshima? and guess what? In the name of god...
None were athiest.

True, but Even Adolf Hitler gave to Charity. The Communists were not interested in sharing power, and human life was a disposable commodity. I still think that having a free society is possible with limits on religious expression in a Democratic society, but no one has given that a try yet.
